Hearing the call of Swifts through an open window at around 2 p.m., I went outside to check on numbers and counted 13 high above the top end of Thirlmere Rd., Barnehurst.
As is often the case there were a couple of Wood Pigeons in the garden.
In the evening there was a young Wood Mouse in one of the compost bins.
